Our Residence is built near one of the most famous touristic location of the Tirrenic coast. As you can see below.
Tropea (7km)
The small City of Tropea is just 7 km far from the Residence, well known for its view, history and gastronomy. It is situated on a rock; the view from it is spectacular. You can see the small “island” with a xv century church. (Visible in the picture). The old town has some wonderful historic churches and buildings. There are many bars, restaurant and typical shop.
Pizzo Calabro (15 km)
Pizzo is 15 km far from our Residence. This place is stunning; it’s on a high cliff-top overlooking the sea. Very worth a visit, when there, make sure you taste, the tartufo ice cream, the specialty of the place, it is delicious. In Pizzo there is a Castle thatgives a fascinating account of the last days of Murat, Napoleon Bonaparte’s brother-in-law. Life size figures in the cells show the captivity of Murat and his soldiers. This is a very good place to take children. Finally you can visit the church of Piedigrotta, it is a kilometer out of town on the road north, it is a small church carved out of the sandstone cliff face.
Capo Vaticano 15(km)
Capo Vaticano is an important seaside resort of Ricadi, arose in seventies. The cliff is 124 meter high. If you got to the lighthouse, you will get a spectacular view, it is at the tip of the peak. There is a small hiking trail around the hill, where you can get some great photos. It is a perfect place for those who love photography anddiving.
Sila and Aspromonte
In Calabria there is not only sea and beach, you can also visit tree big Natural Park in the mountains, Pollino up north, Sila in the middle and Aspromonte at south. In Sila there are three lakes, and it is perfect place to walk in the nature and to eat in small restaurants. Large parts of these Parks are seemingly unexplored, which makes they even more fascinating.
Isole Eolie
You can book directly in our Residence your trip to this well-known archipelago. Every day ferry boats leave from Tropea’s harbor to the Eolie Islands. The island of Vulcano is a fascinating place with the combination of bubbling mud pools to coat oneself in for therapeutic purposes. In Lipari you can visit the historical museum and San Bartolomeo Cathedral. Finally, you can see Stromboli eruption; it is really extremely gorgeous view at night to see lava flowing from the huge crater.
